The hardcopy Newsletter is distributed to the Districts at each Quarterly Meeting and also at the AGM. Please try to leave me at least 10 clear days before the next meeting is scheduled in order that I have time to typeset and print the Newsletter before the meeting takes place. I cannot guarantee that items sent in later than this will be published in the following Newsletter.
Please do not format your article in terms of indenting paragraphs or headings but do write it in a simple font, as I will inevitably need to change it in order to maintain the corporate identities of the website and the newsletter. If there is any specific formatting that you feel is necessary please indicate this to me separately.
Pictures are very welcome. Please try to ensure that they are of a good quality and that, if possible, you reduce them in size to one that keeps the file size down to about 100K at most. Please also ensure that they are in a format that I can use, such as JPEG, as digital camera file formats do vary between manufacturers and my own software may not be able to recognise the camera's file type. I cannot presently use pictures that are simply pasted into a Word document as this degrades the picture too much. Ensure that names of people that are in the photographs are clearly indicated in your submission and that, if necessary, you have their permission to submit the photograph.
Remember that most articles are relatively short, perhaps 2-300 words or less. Longer articles of genuine interest to the members of the Guild as a whole are, of course, welcome. Please contact me first if you wish to clarify matters. Please highlight any unusual spellings that you wish not to be "corrected".
If your article is a long one I advise you to write it off line into a word processor and then either copy and paste it into an email, or send me it as an attachment to an email in Word format or even simply as a text file.

Your article should appear in the next hardcopy edition and also speedily on the Guild's website at the bottom of the Newsletter page.
If there are any queries regarding your submission I will contact you by email for clarification.
Many thanks!
